This is a great image depicting motion and the strong colours of the girls clothing definitely enhances it. I would have tried to somehow cut out the black streaks which are covering one of the girls face but not sure how! A great story nicely done. |

A very nice artistic dreamy image! I really like the softness of the birds and their interactions. Dancing in air a perfect title. |

A lovely peaceful image and i think you have captured this well with the blurred rocks and mountains in focus in the background. To me this works as the rocks lead my eye to the mountain. A good use of rule of thirds with the blurred foreground, the water and the mountains. Very dramatic...nicely done. |

I love how you have experimented with this image and i will try the windshield wiper effect myself! Great choice of colours as it is strong and they stand out. Will look at Definition in Topaz Studio...always good to learn! A nice abstract image.. |

It certainly portrays the snowfall and i like how the snow has fallen on the bird feeder. To me the brown fence is a distraction so i would have cropped that out and i would have liked to see more of the hanging snowball at the bottom. |

You have captured something so simple and turned into a creative masterpiece! I really like this image and the contrast between the shoe and the sidewalk...amazing texture. Nicely framed too giving your feet room to move! |

What a great expression you have captured of the bird and also the simplicity of the image. I agree with Pamela that it is a bit soft with high noise but easily remedied with Topaz Denoise. I too would have preferred a square crop as bring more focus to the bird instead of the branch and negative space. Nice thoughtful image. |

Fun shot and love the way you have captured the motion. Great detail and colour in the Blue Jay. Probably would have darkened the background slightly with a vignette perhaps. I am curious to know what the protocol is for flipping the bird...does it make it easier on the eye whether it is left or right? Great shot! |

That is a very unusual capture for as have never seen a Cicada emerging before...wonderful! I always hear them but never know what they really look like at that stage of their life. How interesting they have such a bright red eye. The detail and sharp focus is great throughout. I might have toned down the background a bit adding a vignette pehaps? Definitely competition worthy! |

Thanks LC... i did think about that and actually the perfect shot would have been the elephant coming in to the right of the frame towards the sunset but you can't control everything! |

That is a stunning capture and love how you chose to focus in on the intimate detail of the landscape. I have never been there so it was intriguing for me to see the full vista photo you also shared. The colours and the light are wonderful and you did a good job in post. Capturing the yellow flowers also adds another layer of interest. To me i might have cropped further in from the right to cut out the dark area. |

A great capture and you have enhanced the detail in the feathers beautifully. I like how you shot at F8 to include definition in the greenery behind which to me adds balance to the image. I agree with Judith by cropping out the Coot and the turtle making the bird stand out. The bill a bit too saturated in colour for me and the water droplet a bit of a distraction. I like how you have filled the frame with this image, very nicely done. |

Thanks Lisa and after your suggestions i did look at actually making the elephant even darker which to me did look nice but think your suggestion also is worth a look. |

Thanks Pamela. Yes we were incredibly lucky to fly internationally and it was a seemless journey with the Covid protocols professionally done...they flew a nurse into our camp to do our Covid test before we headed back! The staff and camps need the business so we were glad that we could support them in some small way by being there. |

Thanks for your comments and yes the night sounds were incredible especially the bull frogs! Lots of lovely birds too.
Chobe has the largest elephant population in Africa and they were plentiful! I too think the lights is a bit harsh so still think it needs to be lowered. Here is the original and in post just moved the highlight and white sliders in LR and added a bit of clarity and dehaze to lessen the brightness of the sky. Settings were handheld 1/60F 6.3 ISO125 shot with my Canon 5D Mark IV, 24-70mm. |
