Thanks Judith a good critic. I just processed in Colorefex PRo on Tonal Contrast to bring a bit more definition to the image. I think its just the mist effect on the smudges on the boat but could be wrong! |

A great capture of the Heron with the details on the feathers and my eye goes straight to the eye. I think you were right to tone down the foliage as too bright in the original. I may have just lightened the backgroud up a tad on the Color luminance slider but that is just me! Agree with Lisa about removing the bright white spot but other than that a great photo...i like it alot. |

That is amazingly creative and you have my full admiration! It must have been intriguing to see the 'metaphorphosis' of this dandelion. I like the softness of the petals and their featherlike appearance. Nice job on the colour. Agree with Pamela it would be interesting to see what B&W would look like. I wonder also what it would have looked like with the front of the flower displaying instead of the stalk? Although i do like the contrast and the detail in what you have done. |

I like the simple composition and the flower stem on a diagnol leads my eye to the flower. It looks good in black and white and how you have added the aged background. To me i probably would have lightened the bottom centre of the flower below the stamens to add more detail. |

Great image and composition with the interaction between the butterfly and the bee...i love the colours of the flower and the butterfly. Good that you took out the other bee to avoid distraction. Sharp focus and detail are fantastic and i like that you shot it at eye level. The butterfly's face seems to have got a bit lost in the background (not being light enough) but just a minor thing for me. Definitely competition worthy so good luck! |
