Thanks Carole & Barbara...think you are right that i should add more contrast. Kilimanjaro is on the far left...you can just see a small amount of snow at the top. Very feint so not easy to spot! |

I am not surprised you loved this foal! To me it looks as if it is looking right at you in a dignified way. Great colouring and interesting to see the foal in motion. In my opinion I think the background could be desaturated as Carole says but you can see the main focus is the horse.
Great photo! |

Interesting to know about the mating ritual! A really good tack sharp image and like the way you have captured both the eyes of the birds and the details of the birds feathers. Good use of filling the frame and i find to me the blandness of the sky does not detract from the composition. |

I can see myself just sitting in one of those chairs...what a great scene! Very peaceful and serene. A good use of silhouettes and my eye wanders around taking it all in. Great contrast of the palm trees against the sky. |

Very clever image! I tried to do this too with a candle but with nowhere nearly as good a result as you! I like the way the smoke swirls are thick and voluptuous and you have captured the movement well. Perhaps i would like to see just a little more of the density of the smoke at the bottom. A great photo enhanced by the border. |

I really like the angle you have shot this at giving me an interesting perspective on the brick wall. To me the textures of the brick wall stands out well and compliments the void of the sky. Would have tried to see if i could tone down the lighting a bit on the wall at the top. Agree with Carole and Barbara about cropping the dark area on the right. |

It reminds me of a grey day in London! I think the sky compliments the building and makes the architecture stand out. I like the detail in the pillars which lead your eye up to the figures at the top. An impressive building and you have done a nice job with positioning the green grass and trees to offset the greyness of the building. Slight orange tinge on the top of the trees but maybe this was the sun trying to come out or maybe that was the colour of the leaves?! |
