Great pose, wonderful smile. Nice textures. Maybe a bit softer and a little vingette to reduce the distraction of the feathers or maybe not. Well done. |

The white vingette was and interesting choice. This photo has lots of potential. I really like the power and structure of the rock cliff. The vingette seems to neutralize the effect of the cliff's power, but serves to bring the main subject down toward the center and de-emphasize the burned out sky. Your subject is a bit too high. You might want to consider using layers to add more room at the top of the photo and perhaps add some clouds to get rid of the burned out sky. After that, a portrait format crop that may even take off a little of the buildings would create a better feel of looking up for the rugged cliff face. It's a lot of work, but it will be worth it. |

Nicely composed. I like the pose. To me, the closed eyes project a sense softness and vulnerability that seems a bit incongruent with high contract of the image. |

Well composed image with a strong diagonal line and nicely framed. As the eyes are the main focus of most portraits, you might want to consider drawing out the catch light in the eyes a bit. Well done. You photography seems to have significantly improved over the past year. Keep up the good work. |

You've done a nice job of creating of this familiar subject with a great sense of depth and texture. The lighting and detail are particularly well done. Subjects in nature are wonderful in of themselves, but perhaps you might what think of other creative ways to develop this idea and make in even more interesting. |

An interesting idea that worked out pretty well. This technique affords an infinate number of possibilities. I would encourage you to continue to pursue this form and try to create more complex images. Nicely done. |
