Nice use of the wide angle lens to create the converging parallels with the clouds and the mountains. You got some great detail in the snow too. This is a great example of an exception to the rule about not centering your subject. It's definately not your typical portrait; a creative approach well done. |

A great noir mood shot LuAnne. It's all about the feeling. I agree with Gary about considering the darken lighten certer mode in Nik's Color Effexs Pro. It's much more subtle than a vignette. The monochrome version eliminates what would otherwise be some minor distracting colors. Well done. |

Quite the unique subject; a great find. The distinctive marking on your subjects face stand out much better in the monochrome version of the photo. The only issue I have is the tight crop that cuts off the top of the hat. For some viewers it might be a minor distraction. I'm attaching the copy with more room at the top for you to compare. I've used a background layer along with a couple of masked duplicate/reversed images to get the upper line of the hat as well as some cloning. |
