A great romantic composition. The way the model's leggs appear longer as her pants follow the line of her legs down the rock gives an other worldly effect to the shot. There's a nice sense of motion that works well as a counterpoint to the model's stillness. I like the way you brought out the lighting and detail on the face. Nicely done. |

A fun photo; the sepia works well at making for a dated image. The door and and rail in the upper right are a bit of a distraction. A tighter crop cutting the arms, but leaving the hands or a vignette might work. The Trolly Car Cafe sign fits with the photo. You were able to get great expressions on your models. Well done. |

A strong image with a great sense of depth. As a portrait, it creates a certain personal feel for the subject. Very interesting and well done. |

Quite a departure. Good for you. You took a little risk and it seems to have paid off. You've created a wonderful, moody and expressive image. You definitly should continue to experiment with this concept. |

Hi Oliver,
I like the nice texture on the building and the sepia treatment creates a nice mood. The idea of blurred foregrounds to create a sense of depth is kind of out of style these day I think. The large textureless sky could be an issue. Of course you can't control the weather. You might want to consider adding some clouds. There is software that is less expensive and easier to use than Photoshop. |

Thanks all for your comments. I agree that there are issues with the sky. I'm thinking sunsets just don't turn out in monochrome. |
