62 Sep 18 Comment Thanks Gary; the photo seems mostly about the enthusiasm conveyed by the expression. Sep 14th
62 Sep 18 Comment A powerfully emotive image. The water, the downward looking pose, the darkness all work very well to create a strong message. Well done! Sep 6th
62 Sep 18 Comment The irony in the photo is unmistakable. The photo tells a great story. Well seen and well developed. Don't change anything! This is real street photography. Sep 6th
62 Sep 18 Comment This photo looks significantly different than the original. You seem to have been able to recognize the potential in the scene and bring it to the finished work. There is such a warm and relaxed mood to the photo. The toning and softness of the image juxtaposed with the subtle brightness and sharpness of the boy works well in the overall composition. It also worked well in distraction of the yellow bicycle. Great work! Sep 6th
62 Sep 18 Comment David,

You've create a very expressive image. The pose is unique and adds to over all feel of the portrait. You lost a little of the softness and romantic feel that was in the original, but it works well both ways. Nicely done.

62 Sep 18 Comment You seemed to have created a fashion photography look with the model with his blunted affect and hands in the pockets pose. It makes me want to look more at the clothing than the model, which I imagine is the purpose in fashion photography. If that was your intention, great job.

The haze around the head looks more prominent in the monochrome than in the original. Maybe darkening the area or using a layer to blur the upper part of the photo while keeping the subjects face sharp may have helped. Overall, nicely done.

Nicely composed. You've gotten the photo to really pop compared to the original. The little vine rising up makes this photo a little more unique than one sees in typical flower shots.
