13 Aug 21 Comment Hi Barbara, wonderful sculpture, I like the roughness and texture of the subject, well placed in the frame, nice and sharp and the background frames the sculpture well with no distractions, your eye goes from the outreached hand and leads to the rather lovely expressive face. 13 Aug 21 Comment Hi Judith, Lovely image, wonderful in Monochrome, the texture background works well allowing the focus to be on the stature with no distractions, the whites are handled well, image is sharp, and the square crop suits the image well. Aug 17th
13 Aug 21 Comment Hi Tim, I read about the toppling of the statue, very sad when a rally ends up with this type of destruction, lucky you took the image when you did, The image is aesthetically pleasing , I like the symmetry with the canon on either side, good POV looking upwards, your eye is attracted by the colourful wreath and then travels upwards to the face of the statue, The surroundings are in focus and sharp, but don't distract from the statue been the focal point.
