13 Jul 21 Reply Judith, I did look up Blake Rudis, very interesting, I hadn't come across him before, hopefully a wet weekend I'll be able to look at more of his work. Jul 19th
13 Jul 21 Reply Hi Judith, Thanks for the feedback, I like your crop and think the dodging of the edges and making the road more of a focus works well Jul 19th
13 Jul 21 Comment Hi Barbara, Interesting image, I see it as an image of three parts, I'm drawn straight away to the moon, then I look back to the island, then the water with what I see as the moon reflections,
The tonal range is so different through the layers, B&W works well.

13 Jul 21 Comment Hi Steven, Great minimalistic image, I like the simplicity and the placing of the stones and piece of seaweed, the marks in the sand lead your eye to each of the objects, conversion to B&W really cuts down on any distractions, the sand makes an excellent background. Jul 19th
13 Jul 21 Comment Hi Paul, interesting image, very stark in its B&W, I'm not finding a lot to keep my interest in the image as there is a lot of black in the centre, which makes the crooked horizonal walk way stand out more, the image is very sharp and I like the way the metal handrails stand out. 13 Jul 21 Comment Hi Fat, well suited to the challenge, nice conversion from infrared to B&W, I'm no expert on infrared but the image is pleasing to the eye, the tree stands out very well with the shadow and person the only item against the featureless sky. Jul 17th
13 Jul 21 Comment Hi Judith, a lovely image of the single water lily, suits the B&W conversion very well, you have been able to maintain structure in the petals, good DOF and sharp through to the stamen, being a little picky, not sure what the reflection is in the top left and the bit of leaf on the left corner could go, the water on the leaves adds nicely to the composition. 13 Jul 21 Comment Hi Tim, Lovely B&W treatment, a good tonal range, I like the
central path with the two side paths leading off, it is difficult to see the end of the path and could be lightened so your eye would have something to focus on, lots of things to see in the image, looks nice and peaceful
