13 Feb 21 Comment Hi Paul, what an interesting image, immediately you think, how is the light getting through, after reading how you did it you then relook, I like the tree in the foreground, you want to see around it and see what is in the background, the zooming has worked very well, creating a great image. 13 Feb 21 Comment Hi Steven, striking night time street image, great angle, nice handling of the light and the way it casts lines, the blur of the person walking through adds to the scene, each time you look at the image you pickup extra detail. I like the top of the building and able to read where they are, and the way the top then merges into the night. Feb 13th
13 Feb 21 Reply Thanks for your critique Judith, I like what you have achieved with the white balance, I feel you may have over sharpened slightly giving the image a harsh appearance, I'm not sure of the square crop as I felt the portrait orientation added depth to the image, I do agree some could be cropped off the top though. Feb 13th
13 Feb 21 Comment Hi Fat, great night time image, the lightning is well controlled and the colour pallet and tones are wonderful, your eye follows the water course around and ends with the large boat near the wall, the image is sharp and there is so much detail to see. Feb 13th
13 Feb 21 Comment Hi Tim, a very atmospheric image, with a wonderful leading line that goes on, the bare trees add wonderfully, great idea putting into panorama, I find the building on the left a little distracting and perhaps a vignette on each end would keep your eye going down the laneway.
