I like this version much better. You have a nice "S" curve of the animals crossing the River which leads the viewer into the image. Have you considered cropping out the light green area in the top right corner? |

I tried your suggestion and came up with this -10 vertical, -14 horizontal. Does the wall in the back now look like it is leaning or does the left front corner of the pool look lower? Perhaps I need to play with it some more. |

Welcome to the group Adrienn! I think this is a very nice image. I like your composition that has emphasized the layers of mountains, trees and fog, all of which created great leading lines and sense of depth. |

I agree with Nicole and Kerry that more space at the bottom of the image would have been nice, but realize in a situation like this, sometimes you take what you can get. I like the sense of excitement, perhaps almost confusion of the animal's faces.
Have you considered cropping the image into more of a panorama format? I think the image could be strengthened by cropping out the empty space at the top of the image as in my opinion it does not add to the image. I did a different crop and added a vignette. What do you think? |

I think you did a great job with this image. I really like the silhouette effect you created. The shutter speed you chose is nice because it allowed a slight blurring of the birds creating a sense of motion, but freezing them enough to be able to clearly identify them as flying birds. In my opinion your composition is great and the leading lines draws the viewer in. |

I think you did a good job of capturing a sense of peacefulness. I like the colors and textures and the reflections of the poles/trees in the water. The placement of the elements creates a nice sense of depth.
Have you given any consideration to adding a darker vignette to the corners? That may help emphasize the main subjects a little more. |

Thanks for your feedback. When I shot the image I was at an angle to the front edge of the pool which created the wedge shape at the bottom of the image. That was the area I liked least of this photo. I have tried several different things, cropping tighter, aligning image to the front of the pool, burning in on the front edge, and this edited image which is only slightly different from my final. Thoughts? Better, worse or no difference? |
