Thom, I find this to be a very nice image. I like your composition and the adjustments you made. The image appears sharp to me with a good depth of field. I like the catch light in the eye. |

Kerry, I like the feelings you captured in this image. It seems there is a clear sense of communication between the sheep and the dogs. I agree with David that the image is a little too flat and could be helped with additional contrast. I like the addition of the color provided by the green dog collars, but agree with David that the pink string on the door is a little distracting to me.
I played around with the contrast level, adjusted the white and black points and while editing, clipped out the pink string. I hope these edits are consistent with the feeling you wanted to convey. |

Janice, I agree with David, I think this is a beautiful image.
I like how you composed it and how the stream leads one into the image. I think you did a great job with the clouds as they leave me with a sense of motion. The image is sharp, and the layers of the various layers of vegetation and mountains creates a great sense of depth.
The only things I would suggest are to remove the dust spots that show up in the clouds and consider removing the small tree limb that protrudes into the image slightly just above the mountain peak on the right side.
Overall, I think this is a very nice image. |

David, I like the crop you chose for this image and I think the HDR did a very good job of bringing out various layers of the mountains and colors. |

PJ, I agree with Janice and David. I like the original background best for this image. In addition to increasing your ISO to allow for a faster shutter speed, you may want to try adding a diffused, off camera flash to help freeze the bird in flight. |

Thanks for your comments David. I wish I had had time to set up my tripod and taken a couple of additional shots to attempt a focus stack. |

Thanks for your feedback. I too was surprised to see the gold flecks and other patterns. I had never paid much attention to them before, but I guess it just goes to show that nature has so much beauty to offer if we only look for it. I agree with you about the softness of portions of the image. |
