Thanks for the feedback. I know what you mean about the additional blossom, I kicked around the thought of what to do about it and decided to just crop it down. |

I did a little work on the background. What do you think? |

I cloned out those twigs, softened up and darkened some of the other aspects of the background. |

Did you give any consideration of turning this into a B&W image? By going B&W you may be able to emphasize the shadows more. I did an edit to B&W using Lightroom presets - B&W IR; Heavy grain; and Heavy vignette and increased the red channel by +16. This image provides a totally different "feel" than yours, so I'm not sure if it does what you want to do, but it is another option. By increasing the red filter you can lighten the red, or decrease it and make it darker. Let me know what you think. |

Thanks for your feedback Bob. A storm was rolling in and it was cloudy/low light and I was contending with a breeze resulting in the higher ISO. Good point on the twig, I should remove it. |

Thanks for your comments. You have a good point. I'll have to play around a little bit to see if I can add some additional blur to the background. |

In my opinion this is an interesting image. I like how you have captured the different shapes and angles and your composition. I like the text, colors and bokeh and the highlight in the bird's eye.
Overall, I think this is a very nice image.

A nice shot of a hummingbird in action! I know how difficult capturing these little guys can be. I like the texture, colors and the angle of the bird.
Did you consider removing the dried plants leaves on the far? For my taste, I find them to be distracting. I've made a crop where I removed them and then added a slight vignette. What do you think? |

I find this to be a nice landscape shot and I like how you captured the evening light on the trees and grasses, the textures and the colors of the scene.
I really like the placement of the tree in your original image. When cropping, did you consider taking some off the right and leaving more on the left? In my opinion that would have allowed you to remove the tree limb at about three o'clock that protrudes into the image and also would allow more space on the left, keeping the tree closer to its original position in the scene. I've attached a crop to show what I mean. I also added a slight vignette to the image.

Great subject. I like how you captured the interaction between the two birds, the texture of their feathers, their colors, the angles and shapes. The positions of their heads almost create a heart shape!
Did you give any consideration as to how it would look if you allowed the background to go totally white?
Nice image.
