Thanks for the feedback.There is a reflection of the dam in the water and when I added saturation of yellow and orange and I suspect that is what caused the coloration in the water. I should have made a localized change on just the pelican inside of a universal change.

I do like the expression on the horses' faces, they seem very determined in completing their mission. In my opinion there are several things in the image that detract from them, i.e. the bright background, the blue clothing of the rider, the colors in front on the back horse's nose. Have you considered turning this into a black and white? I think a B&W showcases the horses' faces, but minimizes some of the distractions. Here is my B&W edit attempt. I altered the crop slightly, increased clarity to emphasize the texture on the horses and added a vignette. |

In my opinion this is a nice sharp image. I like the catchlight in the bird's eye and the highlights on the berries. To me, it looks like the bird is contemplating which of the berries he is going to eat. I find the lighting on the bird's face and belly nice. I would like to see a little more illumination along the back and tail feathers.
Overall, I think this is a nice image. |

An interesting subject with nice, muted, colors. The DOF looks good and the lighting on the flower is pleasing. I agree with Janice that the image could be cropped closer and in my opinion, the flower and bee are the main subjects.
I cropped the image into a square format and added a vignette in an effort to highlight the flower. |

A very interesting image that I really like. I find the color pleasing and the sharpness great-sharp enough to tell what the image is, but blurred enough to show the movement and chaos of so many birds taking flight at once. Great job! |

The Bird of Paradise is a beautiful flower and its bright colors are great. In my opinion, the background is too sharp and somewhat distracting and agree that some of the highlights could be toned down. I also think the vignetting might have been over done as the tips of several of the petals have been darkened and merge into the background. Personally, I prefer the original image over the edited one. |

Thanks for the feedback Janice. I shot it handheld, was panning and even though I was shooting a 600mm, cropped significantly, so I suspect that may have impacted the overall sharpness.
