Thanks for the feedback Charlie. I should have increased the ISO so I could have gotten a faster shutter speed. It was handheld. Seems like I chased that bee around several different flowers before I got him. |

Charlie, sorry I wasn't clear. The building in the center I was referring to would need to be cloned out or at the highlight toned down a little. The vignette would do nothing to the building, but I think would help focus the viewer into the center of the image.

I think this is a very nice image with great lighting, depth of field and composition.
My only suggestion would be to consider a slightly closer crop to eliminate the piece of grass in the upper right corner. |

A very cute image of a colorful subject. I like how you used the shutter speed to freeze the stream of water and depth of field to blur the background.
In my opinion, the highlights appear over exposed and the house finch is a little soft. I think the image could be strengthened by moving the main subjects out of the center of the image and by adding some vignetting in the corners. |

An interesting subject and nice portrait. I like the lighting, texture of the feathers and curves of the bird. In my opinion you have a pretty good exposure with highlight and shadow detail.
For my taste, the image is a little too soft and I find the highlights of the background somewhat distracting. |

I find the lighting very pleasing and I like the blast of color in the foreground. In my opinion the depth of field is good and the various layers add to the sense of depth.
I find the building/chimney in the center on the horizon a little distracting. Have you considered adding vignettes to the corners? I think that would help strengthen the image. |

A nice capture of a pigeon.I like the color, the texture of the bird's feathers and feet as well as on the railing and in the water. I like the depth of field and to me, the bird appears sharp overall. In my opinion, this is a very good exposure with details in both the highlight and shadow feathers.
I like the original crop better because there is a little more space in front of the bird. You might want to consider a little vignette in all four corners to help draw attention to the main subject.
All in all, I think this is a nice portrait of the pigeon. |
