An interesting shot with multiple layers that add a sense of depth.
For my taste, the image feels underexposed and too dark. The name of the image, "Coreopsis", indicates to me the main subjects are the yellow flowers, and the background showing the water tower, forest, lake and field detract from them. I think a closer crop of the flowers would add more impact to the image. Below is an example of what I mean. |

An interesting image and I like the crop you chose because it focuses my attention on key parts of the image that as the title states, clearly shows the game is over. I like the textures displayed in the horse.
In my opinion the final image has too much contrast and details were lost in some of the highlights, specifically the white wrapping on the leg, the side of the horse and on portions of the saddle. I find the colors in the original image more pleasing. |

I find this a very nice shot. I like the lighting, color and texture of the flower To me, the background is very pleasing and I like how you removed the highlights.
Great image and well done. |

I think this is a very nice subject and I like how the back-lighting accentuates the texture of the petals and the colors of the flower.
I think a tighter crop would help emphasize the flower even more by eliminating the green leaves in the three corners. It appears to me that some of the highlights on the petals may be too hot resulting in loss of detail in some areas and an adjustment of them may be helpful.
I have attached an edit I did to show what I mean. |

I find this an interesting, fun subject. I like the lighting that has left the main subjects almost silhouettes. In my opinion, the composition was well done with the main subjects off center and the repeating subject farther ahead in the distance adding balance and the railing adds depth and shows the path being taken. I think the dark, narrow foreground and the expansive sky and distant horizon emphasize the vastness of the area and the beautiful morning colors and dust being kicked up help convey the feeling of the desert heat. I really like your capture of the camel kicking up his leg apparently in protest.
Only suggestion I have is you may want to consider fixing the two light/white spots (possibly dust spots?) near the bottom center (spot above the J in July and to the left and a line above the -).
In my opinion, this is a nice, well done photograph. |
