Kerry, I prefer the lighting on the shearer better in your original edit, especially on his pant leg, side and arm. |

Definitely an interesting scene and surely difficult to capture. I think additional contrast might help. |

In my opinion, the image appears sharp overall with good depth of field and color. I like how the oblique lighting highlights the muscles of the shearer and the texture of the trimmed sheep. To me, the adjustments you made to the lighting on the faces of both man and beast really highlight their expressions creating nice points of interest. I think you might consider leaving the lighting of the back wall as it was in the original. I find this to be a very nice image with a great story. |

Thanks Janice. Cardinals are one of my favorite backyard birds and I do feel lucky to have a pair spending time here. I do wish that one leaf was not blocking part of her wing, but sometimes you must take what you get. |
