Thanks Stephen.I did not consider black & white previously. I think B&W gives it a totally different feel - more of a storm rolling in, threatening feel vs a lazy afternoon beach scene. I have created my monochrome version below. I agree, I like the color version better. |

Thanks Charlie.
I generally shoot landscapes in horizontal as well, but I chose vertical format on this one because of the tall grass and slats of the fence. I felt the vertical format helped to emphasize the height of those linear objects. |

Wow,sounds like a great adventure. I played around with the crop a little in an effort to emphasize the long neck. I also lightened up the area around the eye a little and added a vignette. Here is my version. |

A nice photo and interesting topic. I like the way you cropped the photo. I've never photographed jelly fish in water, but I have photographed other fish. You may want to try increasing your ISO significantly - ISO 1000 or more, so you can increase your f/stop and depth of field as well as your shutter speed to freeze motion. Those steps should help the sharpness issue. When shooting through another medium, i.e. water, manual focus is often the best way to go.
Good job. |

After taking a closer look, I saw I failed to ensure my horizon was straight before I posted my final print, so I've corrected it and posted it below. |
