Charlie,
Although some competitions and exhibitions prohibit the addition or deletion of items within an image, my understanding of the guidelines as posted above do not prohibit removal of objects. If you are aware of something different, please let me know and I will do some additional research.

Very nice image with great composition and many different, interesting, lines, angles, textures, shadows and highlights. The low angle from which the image was made makes the small flower tower over the other elements.
Good job. |

Interesting story and image. I like the many different angles and shapes and the lines they create. I found the horizon distracting. I edited it slightly in LR by cropping out the horizon. |

Great subject and a very nice composition. I like the diagonal line created by the green leaves to the upper left, the color of the flower and its reflection.
I find the debris in the water distracts from the image. I edited the image in Lightroom by cropping out the leaf in the bottom right and decreasing the black (-21) to darken the water and flower shadow and adding a slight vignette to help emphasize the flower. I used the spot healing tool in Photoshop to remove the debris from the water. |

The deckhand in the red coat really emphasizes the difference in scale between man and his machine and nature's vast expanse of water, sky, forest and mountains. I find the red coat a key element that keeps my focus on the fishing boat.

Catherine, Please accept my apologies for the error when uploading your images. I have corrected them and moved them to where they should have been. The original shown now is the original and the main image is the final. |

Stephen, My apologies to Catherine. When I uploaded the images I inadvertently mixed them up. The image you indicated you liked better was in fact the final image. I have corrected my error. |
