Thanks, Jay. My first serious effort at night photography. I'm hooked. |

No offense taken. Reshoot is in a year. Glad it was fog. |

I agree with all. Crop is the answer. I wanted a foreground, but also the full ruins and the sky, so I couldn't get as much of the fence as I would have liked. Crop is the right answer. It is a holiday tradition: one night, three hours. The luminaries line the road two miles to our marina, and in front of most homes on the side roads. Quite spectacular, unless it rains. |

Good point. I cropped as I did to include the fence in the foreground for perspective. |

Interesting. Fortunately not my concern anymore. |

Good idea, but I'm curious about your camera settings. What would a slower shutter speed, and a mid-range f stop have produced? 1/500 or less and f5.6 or 8. |

Another beautiful bird. I'm always interested in your processing notes, but I'm not unable to discern much difference from the original. On closer inspection I see some sharpening, a slight vignette. A very light touch with a good original, I guess. |

Beautiful shot. I'm guessing the 1/20th softened the clouds (fog? Hopefully not smoke) a bit. Shot manual? Any processing? I like the panorama crop, although these are much more difficult to frame, at least for me. |

Great composition, nice processing although I can't see the painterly effects from this small an image. Why flash mode WB? Photo reminds me of why we moved to the south. Fresh snow: beautiful scene, now go away and come back next winter for me. |
