I prefer original one, more action, less distractions, with a tighter crop to remove bottom and left a little. Also, I'd try to correct the perspective with the shelving and windows, but that may not be possible. Everyone has a tattoo, don't they? Great addition to your series. |

Roseate spoonbills are elusive here also. In ten years of the low country I've only seen three, one this year that was strangely a solo juvenile among cousin wood storks, so not much color and difficult to separate out. Beautiful shot, and processing, as usual. |

I agree with all, nice composition. I wonder if somehow you could have shot more from one side to bring the line further from left to right. Nice to say in hindsight. I think I need to take more multiple shots of a scene like Ian does. Cindy's processing is closer to what I would do, but both work equally well for me. (Dorian ended up to close for me and I had to evacuate without a computer, lucky Cindy). I never noticed the person until everyone's comments caused me to find him/her. That must say something about the importance, but what? |

I agree this is a nice shot, and I like the emphasis on the John Deere signature green. Maybe a little less vibrance in the red so as to not distract. Good cropping. Maybe a 1:1 candidate? As for the painted look, I like to play with Topaz on my computer, but never sure for a final look. |

Sorry to be so late with my comments. I too love panos for the reasons you give. I think they add impact past the standard aspects and definitely fit certain scenes like this one much better. But they are harder to frame since they require custom frames. I haven't tried the long exposures with water because the water in the low country doesn't move much. I'm in with the lighter foreground; it leads my eye into the photo. Great photo. |
