Thank you all for your comments. I need to confess I am rather lazy at post. Your suggestions have open my eyes to many options which I missed in the past. Many thanks. |

I was like "Wow" when I saw this image. You made a totally bland photo into a totally stunning one. The graduation from darkness on the side to the gradual brightness is ingenious and brings our eyes through the stairs step-by-step.
I tend to agree that the little rotation by Hattie just adds even more drama. But your horizontal one already captures most attention. |

Hi LuAnn,
This is a striking picture. I am in the camp of "simple is beautiful". The monochrome tone works very well with your blizzard theme. I particularly like the darker tone of the bird house and the branches that separate out these objects (and subjects) from the background which is predominantly light in colour.
I have seen another picture in a similar theme. But the photographer shot the picture along a fence that lead a lone tree. This could be another composition for your birdhouse. |

Thanks Oliver for your edits. I never used the wide angle distortion as I thought my L lens was the best. Haha. Apparently I was just being too naive.
Thanks for opening my eyes to this "new" feature. I will try to use it in the future. |
