Neal, what a beautiful butterfly! The sharpness of the image is perfect, and you did a good job blurring the background. The color range is pleasing to the eyes. For me, the image makes an emotional statement of peace and beauty.
Question: how do you blur backgrounds? In PS? Any way to do in LR? Thanks. |

Norman, I like the beautiful combination of colors and textures. I also like the sharpness of the feather, which, for me, stands out from the other items in the collage, not only for its color but also for its type. |

Hi Dan, I like the combination of greens and the browns. The sharpness of the butterfly made me keep exploring all its details. Beautiful. I personally would have cropped it differently. I found the lower leaf competing too much with the butterfly as the focus of interest. |

Murphy, the composition makes the viewer's eyes move along the whole image, with the stems always leading the eyes to rest on the top of the image. I like the colors and the wonderful sharpness. |

Pat, you did a great job in presenting the image in B&W. It looks so much better than the original. I love the sharpness in the middle of the flower, well done depth of field and good composition. I would remove the distracting background areas. I would not increase contrast, instead would make it even softer, more delicate, by taking out the spots on the leaves. |

Priscilla, creative composition with the small green leaf nicely displayed with sharp focus. For me, the colors of the leaves are beautiful and I like the blue background as well. |

Hello everyone, sorry for the long absence. I have been traveling for the last two months, most of the time with poor or no internet.
Thank you for your constructive feedback. I always learn from your comments.
I shot this insect in a Greek island called Corfu. No idea about type or name. |
