Hello Priscilla, beautiful shot! I like the way the whole subject 'enters' the frame. The background is very nice. I noticed some areas around the flower are a bit pinkish and I think if it were just like the rest of the background the flower would be more prominent. Maybe a lighter flower as a whole would help that too. Great shot! |

Lisa, I love examining the inside of flowers. It is like exploring the under-water world, a totally new world. I like your image, the composition, the colors. For me, the image would be more striking if the focused areas (I believe the 7 anthers) were more defined, maybe making them lighter. Nice image. |

Hi Priscilla,
wonderful that you worked on the image, I did like the result also learned from it. Photography is such a passion to me, but I could only dedicate myself to it a couple years ago, after I retired. So many new things yet to learn and see! Thank you very much! New ideas are so inspiring! |

Khai, what a beautiful bird and a beautiful shot. Wonderful sharpness in the feathers, which also have perfect lighting, emphasizing its volume and forms. The contrasting eye color adds to the image to. To me, it is a striking image, and my eyes kept exploring it.
Maybe, a plain background would enrich the image even further. I found the grain distracting me from the main subject. |

Thank you Murphy, for the constructive comments. I guess I will have to try a few different things to improve the background and the exposure. LR is a bit limited but it is all I know so far. |

Good job on your post processing. I like the lighter background, matching the color harmony of the flowers. The use of light behind flowers and leaves always seem to work so well. I should try that sometime. I also like the composition and the sharpness. Nice! |
