Hi Priscilla, nice use the both lights. I also prefer the image without the leaf. And as you already suggested, a shorter stem would be better too. Good angle and colors. |

Hi Murphy, I love taking macro/close-up pictures that are hard to tell where they came from. They have a life of its own. I love the colors and everything else. Bravo! |

Hi Patrick, this is a beautiful image indeed. I like the lower angle, that makes me go into the image and better explore it. Many good aspects such as the composition, the soft light over the flower, and the additional elements in the image that nicely give it a story. To improve I would do what you already agree: take out the distracting leaf in the background. |

Hi Khai,
what a beautiful color this flower has and I think this is a very nice composition too! For me, locating the small flower on one of the 'third' points made me visit it as much as the big flower. I kept going from one to the other. I also find the DOF just right.
So, you mean this picture is actually the result of two pictures? How did you do it and using which software?

This image is interesting and eye-catching. I love the contrasting colors and the new angle Lisa suggested makes it even better. Just would darken the light area of the background. Nice shot! |

thanks for the comment. I like the image better with the direction you suggested.
The image was taken with the iPhone, no special app or lens. When I opened the image in LR I saw the Exposure info so I included it. |
