I think it has improved the composition by giving a little more room on the left. I don't see any obvious faults that you refer to Harley! I like it more without the vertical lines. Nice job! |

Thanks Mark! Yes, it was staged, and it wasn't easy keeping them still as they were giggling uncontrollably! Your suggestion about using water and/or a reflection is great, and I'll try that when I get the chance! I also appreciate your suggestion of depth of field. Thanks so much for your help. |

I really love the creativity of this image, and the oil paint effect really works. There's just so much to hold my attention, Harley. I like the way the smaller child is looking at her/his shadow, and the stance of the older child. I do tend to agree with Mark about the vertical lines. I also wonder if it would improve the composition slightly if you had left a little more space on the left hand side, it just feels a little too tightly cropped on the left. A wonderful story here. |

What a treat being able to watch these amazing creatures. I really like the composition, and the shadow of the dolphin adds to the image. The curve and detail of the wave and the smoothness of the water in the middle of the image are a nice contrast. The dolphin perhaps looks a little HDR-ish for my taste, but overall it's a great image, Mark. I hope you enjoyed your time in Mexico. |

This is beautiful, Lane! Great detail and sharpness, and I really like your choice to process this as black and white. The image has a lovely moody feel, and the white background is great. The only suggestion I would make, is to relook at the cropping. The branches at the top and right hand side tend to make my eye wander out of the image. The storm certainly left you with some great subjects! |

Lovely! What great reflections on the floor. This image has a nice warmth to it Mike, and it makes me wonder what the people are doing, where they have been, and where they will go next. A great story. I wonder if a slightly tighter crop on both sides may be worth trying? My eyes keep going to the left and right hand sides of the image, trying to make out the detail which is a little distracting, although at the same time they lead me into the image. Your image leaves me with no doubt that this cathedral is a wonderful place to explore! |
