27 Jan 20 Reply I did not have a polarizer on the camera. I don't even think I brought one on this trip, but you are right, I should have used one. The day was pretty overcast. In fact, by the time we left this old mill it was raining.
I do have Lightroom, but am just learning it. When you say filter the sky down from the top, do you mean in Lightroom? I am planning on buying Luminar and I think I could do a lot with the sky using that program.
Thanks for your input.

27 Jan 20 Comment Fabulous shot. Your attention is drawn just where you want it to go. It is very sharp. The image makes me wonder who is in that cabin. I love the feeling that it leaves me with. How long of an exposure did you use? Jan 9th
27 Jan 20 Comment Good job of cleaning this cup. Becca. I am wondering if the tree on the right would look better a little blurred since it is in the distance where everything else is blurry. The sky looks great, but the wires running in the back bother me only a little. Jan 9th
27 Jan 20 Comment You did a great job bringing out the fall colors in the trees and the reflection. The crop helps a lot. It would be nice if you could have added more "life" to the sky.
I do like it.

27 Jan 20 Comment I love this image. I don't have experience with crystal balls, but I think you did a great job here. I tried photographing with one at a macro workshop last weekend and it was hard to keep unwanted light out.
I love that you used the tulips as the blurred background. Could you remove the bluish tint from the sides? Not knowing how crystal balls work, I can't use that as a criticism.

27 Jan 20 Comment I love the intensity in the kayaker's face. It is too bad that the paddle got cut off. I would like to have seen all of it. I might also have tried to remove the pole right behind him. It doesn't do anything to enhance the image.
I bet that was a tough shot to get.

27 Jan 20 Comment Lovely image. Whites are so difficult to photograph. My suggestions to improve this image is to give it a little more space at the top and the right side. I would also suggest using the eraser tool and remove some of the spots on the flower to the left.
Nice job.
