This looks magical. I really like the effect and color palette. The blue sky included makes a nice complement to the orange leaves and adds interest to the image. I agree with Grace about the tree on the left. A similar one on the right would have balanced it, but otherwise I would crop it out.

One more vote for Larry's comments, especially cropping up from the bottom. I would also be ok cropping in some from the right side and let the focus being on the lakes forming S shaped leading lines into the valley. |

This is a well composed image. The tree on the right balance the domes; there is enough sky to let the crosses breathe. To my eye, it appears flat because of the smog so I agree with Bill's treatment to add detail. The white structure with the two stone structures intruding into it are incongruent. Maybe try changing the white structure to a really dark structure would keep the eye from going there. |

I do have images of the whole waterfall - as do one million other people, so I was looking for something different. I appreciate everyone's comments though. I have been in the Columbia River Gorge a total of 8 days on two trips. It rained every day so looking up to get the falls from the base was a real challenge. |

Beautiful image, Larry. I agree with others that the light from the town enhances rather than detracts from the image. I really like the directional angle of the moon light and the amount of exposure on the trees and mountains. A question - with an exposure time of only 4 seconds, it appears there is still some small star trails? |
