This appears really thoughtfully composed; my eye goes from the dock, follows the water to the sun. I am ok with the tree in the upper left but would get rid of the dead branch. To me it balances the rocks on the lower right. I would remove what appears to be part of the fence on the lower right. I think the exposure is about right - it is getting dark and should look like it. Well seen and taken. |

I like the composition including the city but agree the shadows could be lifted and contrast added. For the sky, I suggest using the sky mask and using dehaze and clarity (you may have to slightly lighten the image because dehaze would further darken it). For the city, increasing the shadows and adding clarity should add a bit more punch. Also increase the white and reduce the black sliders to increase contrast. On PC, hold the ALT key to see if you are going too far with either. |

Nicely composed and great color, sharpness/DOF and choice of shutter speed. I agree with the comments on the moon. To me, it distracts rather than adds to the story. Blending in a higher speed shot for the moon would be an option. I also agree a bit more room atop the fireworks would enhance the image. |

Thanks for all your comments. I do agree about the sky and the brightness of the leaves bottom right. |

I like the way the river and reflection within it lead my eye to the mountains. The near landscape gives a sense of place and size of the mountains. Cropping to exclude a large part of the sky seems effective to me. Time of day allows the texture of the mountains to be seen. I view this more of a record shot than fine art, but from that sense, well done. |

worthy of a banner or a huge metallic print. Perfect time of day for great color. Good choice for a pano. At first I thought there was some barrel distortion of the level of the water, but it was just the way my eye saw the image. I would consider a slight crop up from the bottom and slightly darkening the bright light reflections in the water. You could sell this one to the locals and recoup your expenses. The image is worth every penny though. |

A lot to like about this image: great color and complementary colors, good placement of the sailboat with room to move forward in the frame, the height you took the image which meant none of the sailboat lines touched a horizontal line, the darker clouds on the left which balance the boat. Being a finance guy who likes balance, it would have been more pleasing to me if the mast dissected the sun or if the sun could have been lower. |
