Larry nailed the strong points in this image, especially framing and color palette. I think you did a great job on DOF and sharpness where it needed to be. I agree with the points about eliminating the white buildings on the left. If I really wanted to pick nits, there is a section of the cloud that does not have color. I would consider making it consistent in color. Beautiful image. |

I think the shutter speed for flowing water is maker's choice. In this case you certainly achieved the milky flow. I like the way the trees on the right balance the rock in the water and the "S" curves formed by the small stream. For some reason the water at the bottom of the image seems to have a strange orange color in it - maybe tannins? I would consider cropping down a bit from the top to reduce the lightness at the top of the image and darken the foreground leaves a bit - they attract my eye away from the stream. Kudos for getting out in the woods and finding scenes like this |

What a great place to live. I think you converted a landscape scene into a piece of art by your color management. The haze on the far mountain gives the image a greater sense of depth. Like Larry, I have to search for the cows so a different title seems more appropriate. For me, it helps that the stream is flowing into the image rather than out of it to better lead my eye through the image. |

This could go into a real estate brochure - great time of day, effective exposure, nicely composed, good choice of shutter speed to take away any distractions from the water. My only suggestion would be to slightly crop up from the bottom. Only 4 garage doors? Usually there is a separate carriage house as well with an additional four doors - maybe the property is too tight for that there. |

I was looking at the image thinking about comments and then read Larry's. My comments would have been almost exactly the same. My only add is I think you nailed the shutter speed. This is a wall-hanger for sure |
