Trying to get three different views from the same scene is a worthy challenge. To my eyes, the whites are not blown out but rather the long exposure eliminated a lot of the texture of the water which may be the fine art approach you were going for. I do agree with Larry that some of the shadow detail is lost. For me, either adding a bit more of the stream bottom right or cropping it shorter would work a bit better; the white water appears a bit chopped off there. For fine art I would consider either saturating more or less to add interest. Excellent capture of the old mill.

The composition to me is well done. I am glad you separated the top of the church roofs from the waterline of the lake. At first glance I liked all the brick/stone detail in the church, but then it appeared to my eyes that the trees to the left of the church and the church itself may be over sharpened. They just appear crispy on my monitor. Good job on removing some of the people. I would consider taking out the couple in white and the white sign next to the church as well. My eyes got delayed by the flags too, but maybe that is too picky. |

I agree with Bill about the image having a beautiful, ethereal feeling. I didn't see the colorcast though. The image was well framed, and the framing tree leaves were just sharp enough to work. Being more of a realist, I might have added a bit of cooler temperature to the image, but that is the maker's choice. It is a beautiful image as is. |

I always look forward to seeing your story behind the image. For me, the time of year is appropriate - the bare trees in a way mimic the rough hewn sides of the bridge. Great use of PhotoPills. I would consider cropping up a bit from the bottom and maybe from the left to make the image more of a pano which would further emphasize the length of the bridge. I like the amount of sky you included. |

I think this is a wonderfully composed and exposed photo. Management of the varied lights and DOF are very well done. For me, the blurred car adds interest to the scene. If it were sharp, the shot would not have worked. My only suggestion is to slightly burn the bright bricks under the Clancy signs. My eye is drawn there. |
