I was not clear - I meant just enough to cover the brighter brown spot so very little crop. |

The strong, complementary colors and energy generated from the diagonal line of the mountain certainly adds a lot of visual interest to this image. I like that the far background fades into a haze to give a sense of distance. The direction of the light creates a lot of texture in the mountain. My only suggestion is to darken the bright plant stems in the bottom right which attract my attention. You probably already know this, but using a polarizer on a wide angle lens will result in a significant variation in the color of the sky

It appears to me you did a fantastic job of post processing. Well done. I think the composition certainly gives a sense of place and including the interesting sky certainly adds to the overall image. The only tweak I can think of is to very slightly darken the roof in the bottom right corner. |

Indeed an amazing sunset. I like your idea about including the telephone lines to lead into the image and provide a sense of place and interest. For me, I think I would eliminate the bright red lights in the distance and crop up from the bottom to eliminate the lighter ground at the bottom of the image; my eye keeps going back there. |

You have some incredible locations. I like that the red buildings pull my eye up to the mountain, that the mountain has a dominant presence, and that your processing to darken the edges keeps my eye in the image. Just me, but the warm setting seems incongruent with the snowy landscape so I would have gone more cold on the temperature setting. |

Another amazing dialogue and a dedication to photography that goes beyond the pale. I can somewhat understand your frustration. I have gone to Hilton Head Island for over 30 years. What used to be excellent sunrise and sunset spots are now gated communities or at a minimum, "no trespassing." Bringing the tent and coloring it with a warm light adds a nice complementary color to the blue in the sky. You managed to get the core of the Milky Way and processed it well. My only suggestions are to crop in just slightly from the right and darken the grasses in front of the tent. My eye keeps getting drawn there and that is not the subject. |

I really like this composition. My eye travels from the light section of the sky over to the boardwalk back to the small structure. The trees on both ends of the image balance the image and keep the eye from wandering out. The exposure of the grasses and drama of the sky work really well. |
