The Black Horse is part of the Milky Way core which is only visible during part of the year. Apps like PhotoPills gives you times and locations when the core is visible. |

Good point and a reason to get feedback. I did in fact use a linear gradient on the bottom but obviously not as much as I should have. The Canola flowers are a brilliant yellow, especially when in direct sunlight. |

Excellent choices in your processing and cropping and making this image at this time of day. The warmer tone seems to fit the time of day well. This image gives a real sense of place. The image appears very sharp to my eyes even though you had an aperture of f6.3 so well done on that. It would have been interesting if you had considered doing a pano of five or six images to stitch together. |

This image was well worth the personal risk. I really like the composition including how you positioned the water falls and stream plus the inclusion of very effective light and shadows. I would have considered cleaning up a few of the twigs and foliage in the stream. On my screen, the water has a magenta cast to it. Maybe just how I see it. Again, outstanding composition. |

I like how you used light and shadows to create a real sense of depth. Like Barbara on a similar fall scene, I like your choice of post processing techniques. To my eye, the fog looks a bit too warm and the trees in the bottom middle seem a bit of a barrier for my eye to enter the scene so I might have considered moving right or left to take the image. Nit picking though. It is a beautiful image that could be a wall hanger. |

This is a great story which adds so much to the image itself. Having read your past experiences, I think you should do a book about your photo experiences.... I have started using PhotoPills and find it amazingly useful. To get the Horse Nebula in that position about the building is very nicely done. I think I may want to see the end of the building on the right to complete the image, but the exposure, technique, and result are well done. Love the old Coke sign. |

For me, the timing is perfect - lots of color but with skeletons of some trees which adds a lot of visual interest. I like your post processing choices, especially giving it a softer effect. The composition is well balanced. IF I were to get really nit picky, I might darken the brighter bush at the bottom right hand corner. Thanks to the bear. |
