The fog and long shadows make the image for me. I like the composition with the light coming in from the top right, lighting up the landscape except for the part of the image on the bottom which still adds interest to me but the darkness keeps my eye from going out of the frame. I can see why Arne may want the sky cropped out, but for me, I like it as is since it gives a sense of where the light is coming from. It does appear to be blown out and bright at the top of the image so you may want to play with Arne's suggestion. |

This image is a winner to me. The B/W conversion is very well done; the composition is great. Being a finance guy and realist, I would not have such a difference in tonal values on the front of the image - ie, the dodging was a little strong on the edges. I would consider darkening the bright part of the trees on the left since my eye was drawn there also. |

I liked you included foreground interest with the reeds which also provide some depth to the image and that the composition balances the bulk of the trees on the left with the setting sun on the right. 13 seconds is ideal to get sharper stars and not have the clutter of too many smaller stars. It is probably how the sky was, but to my eye one of the first things I noticed was how much lighter the skies are behind the trees - it to me looks like the sky other than the behind the trees was processed to darken it. |

My eye immediately followed the fence thru the bridge so to me an excellent composition. I liked your choice of cropping. I agree with Arne that I would consider darkening the trees and highlights of the cliff and slightly bringing our more exposure of the bridge. According to color theory, the human eye is most attracted to green, not red. |
