I think this image captures the gardens. I like you cropped out much of the sky. The blue sky is well reflected in the water which adds a lot of color to the image. The house does not appear to be level. For me, I would consider cropping a bit from the left to eliminate the bright beach and white fountain in the lake but that is a personal choice to do that versus including the framing branches. |

I love Michael Kenna's work. Your conversion to B/W is well done. It appears you have brightened where you want the eye to go and made use of many leading lines to the barracks and burning the edges to keep the eye in the image works well. I like the contrast and wide tonal range. Placing the tower between the posts was a good compositional choice. |

A well composed image at a great time of year to capture the horse nebula. Good decisions on your camera settings. The NPF setting does work better than the rule of 500 (or 400 or 300).
I see you used the radial gradient which works well for the Milky Way processing. If you wanted to go for a bit more contrast, using the brush tool to bring out highlights and another brush to darken shadows adds a bit of pop. The disadvantage with blending two shots with water included is there is not reflection of the Milky Way which looks a bit odd. Overall, nicely done though. |

You are an intrepid photographer! To my eye you made the right choice on the waves - smoothed out but the wave action still visible. The light from the lighthouse looks perfectly fine to me - the different angles just appear to be the perspective effect. I also like the clouds - visible but obviously night time dark. For me, I may have considered slightly darkening the line of rocks going out from the lighthouse and cloning out the building to the right so the story stays focused on the lighthouse. My eyes complete the circle of the waves which form a leading line to the lighthouse. I wonder if the image would be a little better if all of the waves were visible on the right. |
