Beautifully seen. I like the way you used light to immediately draw the eye to the path which leads you into the image. Color, saturation, details and sharpness all look good to my eye. I think I might consider cropping out all the sky and just make the image about the path; for me, the sky is a different and bright color which is a distraction from the story of the path. Just me. |

I like the color palate, exposure, the shadows emerging from the wreck and the placement of the ship skeleton in the center of the frame. For me I would try to pull out a bit of detail from the shadows which appear to be blocked out and clone out the upright piece on the left which could be a distraction. I think the sun placement works fine, but an alternative would be to capture the starburst of the sun through the wreckage. Until I read your description, I did not know what the structure was. I wonder if there was an angle that would make it clearer it was a ship? |

This captures the city, the architecture and the environment giving a real sense of place. I like to composition as well with inclusion of the nearby roofs. To my eye the main buildings look a bit out of focus but that could be the thumbnail. It may just be the effect the mountains have on my eye but it does not appear level to me. This might be a good candidate for a B/W conversion. You did a nice job with the verticals. |

It appears to me your shooting decisions and preparation were stellar. Highlighting the green of the rocks and the magenta of the sky gives a really pleasing complementary color effect. The leading lines of the rocks lead right to the brightening sky. It looks like you vignetted the right side a bit to keep the eye in, but it is noticeable. Maybe make more subtle? It may be just the thumbnail, but for me I would try to bring out a bit more detail in the shadows of the rocks and take away some of the bright spots in the green rocks and between the larger rocks. |

The colors are gorgeous, the exposure well done and your use of the ND filter was effective in taking detail out of the water. The placement of the driftwood is balanced by the brightness of the sky on the right. Good placement of the sky in the image. For me, I would clone out the two short limbs on the right. If you had a chance to do it again, I would try to separate the two limbs which come together in the image. |
