Timing is everything.... I like the drama you captured in the clouds offset by the side lighting of the canyon and your choice of composition by weighting the image more toward the canyon. I would consider darkening the bright sky on the right and maybe bringing up the shadows in the bottom left of the canyon just a bit; to my eyes they look too dark and almost blotchy. |

I think this is well composed and well seen. The buildings set up a strong diagonal line capturing me eye and leading it into the image. The rays from the clouds mimic the lines of the buildings adding interest to the image. The lighting effect works very well bringing out the texture of the mountain and the roofs. My only suggestion is to just bring out a bit of detail in the dark areas. |

For me this is a really strong image compositionally. I like your postprocessing to highlight the light from the sky and the boat. You also captured the reflection of the boat. My only suggestion is to make this a B/W. I think it would really pop. |

This image tells a very strong story. I like the time of day you shot the image and that you had some separation between the two stumps. Color temperature gives a sense of morning in addition to the strong shadows. It appears you cropped the image to make it more of a pano. That works for me. |

An iconic scene for sure, and you got it. I like the saturation level, the color and that you left room above the reflection of the mill in the water. I also like your choice of shutter speed. The water at a distance still have some texture but also flow. Good job on the DOF. My only suggestion is if you had a redo opportunity, the top of the image seems too cropped to my eye. I would like to see more of the red tree and more space above the mill. |

Always helpful to have another view. I think you hit on why the image didn't seem right to me. |
