I think this is nicely seen and cropped. I agree with the changes you made. Good choice on shutter speed for a handheld photo. You might consider just bringing up the exposure slightly for the falls and area around it and slightly darkening the bright area of the cliff on the upper left and the bottom of the bright orange tree going out the bottom of the photo. |

I think you captured a powerful subject and the context in which is exists. I agree with Richard that you did a nice job on the clouds and could increase the exposure for the lava flow. Just some thoughts you might consider: Since the subject is the lava flow, to direct more attention there and away from the clouds, I would consider cropping down quite a bit from the top and adding exposure and clarity to the lava field. Did you have any images which incorporated the entire flow of the field on the left so you could display that rather than more of the mountain on the right? You might see how this looks in B/W too. |

I like the wall of buildings framing the canal on one side and the masts of sailboats doing the same on the other. The sky adds interests, and the exposure looks right on. Nice reflections in the water. You got amazing DOF for f5.6 so well done. My only suggestion is to do a slight perspective adjustment to make the building sides and sailboat masts vertical. |

To me this is a really nicely composed image. I like the position of the bridge, the framing by the trees (looks like you did a vignette which is just right), the reflection in the water, the interest added by the flowers and enough room to the left to walk off the bridge. Other than maybe darkening down the plant highlighted in the lower left, I have no suggestions. |

This image has a strong story, is well exposed and looks sharp with an appropriate depth of field. I agree with Richard about cropping some. You might consider using a gradient to subtly darken the bottom and top of the image to keep the eye focused on the action. |

I like the way you cropped this image, the evening color palette and the detail you were able to bring out in the rock structure. The choice of a long exposure had a nice effect on the water. My only suggestions would be to heal out the two spots of light on the right and if possible, add a bit of magenta to pick up on the twilight color. |

Thanks Richard. Sometimes going from raw to an edited picture makes you think you have gone far enough, but it is always better to have another view and opinion |
