This is a great exposure of the falls. I liked the way you positioned the falls in the image giving some room for the water to flow into the image. Good timing on the slight rainbow. I agree with the others about cropping down the sky a bit. I would consider just subtly darkening the bottom left corner of the image. |

To me, the clouds really make this image, and I liked the way you balanced the image with the shed in the foreground and the windmill in the background. Nice post processing. I would consider cloning out the sign on the left. I have mixed feeling about where you cut off the stump in the foreground - I might consider leaving it whole. |

I liked you converted to B/W and got the full tonal range. I like the composition too with the stream capturing my eye and leading me down to the village. It looks very sharp throughout. Just my personal preference, in a scene like this I would have not exposed the water quite as long so there is a bit of texture to it, and you can tell it is water; I had to look at it at bit to determine that the bottom of the image was water. Just me. I would not change the composition one bit. Well seen |

My personal preference for most water shots is 1/4 second so I certainly agree with your decision to get to that speed. The exposure, sharpness and depth of field all look good to me. It appears most of the water had details and texture. I would try to see if I could get a bit more detail out of the portion of the falls going off to the bottom left. I might darken the tree on the right from the edge a bit too. Nice stop on a road trip. |

It looks like your timing was perfect to get the color and details. I like the way the clouds keep my eye in the picture and that you got sidelighting on the buildings. The shoreline curves around but a bright reflection takes my eye right back to the buildings. I agree with Richard about the curvature. You might try the perspective setting when you stich the images together. An option would be to use LR's transform to correct a pin cushion effect. |
