I like your position in the river and that you got the S flow without intersections, the depth of field and the sharpness. Just for me, I had to search for the reflection of the falls so I might have lightened it just a little more so it would be more visible in the water. Also for me, the image feels a bit tight, and I might have zoomed out enough to leave more sky above the mountain and also leave the full reflection in the water, which I think would have made the falls more visible. Conversely, for me I might have shot a vertical cropped in much tighter so the subject of the falls and reflection would be much clearer. Just me. |

It is to your credit that you saw this and took time to capture it. It appears to me to be a very dynamic image with a lot of energy radiating from the clouds. I might make a couple of suggestions: If you use Lightroom the dehaze filter can add more texture and structure to clouds. I realize it is cheating, but when I have a blown out section of the sky, I create another blank layer and then either paint in a color near the blown out area for a sunrise or sunset, or in this case, clone a like area, and then blend it in by adjusting the opacity and maybe blend mode. |

I literally just got back from 8 days photographing in Maine so appreciate this image. I like the complementary shape of the clouds to the landscape, the room left in the image both from the edge of the land and above the near trees, and the time of day you captured this image. To my eye, the image looks slightly over sharpened creating some artifacts and the waves appear to have some ghosting in them. To me, this is a beautiful image that should be hanging somewhere. |

I like the pastel colors in this image and the placement of the closest fisherman and the attraction of the yellow shorts (but I agree with Richard these could be slightly brighter). It seems to me 10 seconds was about right, and amazing the fisherman are sharp. It appears to me several of the fishermen's heads are right at the horizon line so I might have moved the camera position up or down. I hope we see some more pictures from this workshop. |

I like the composition, the colors in the image with the flowers and magenta tree contrasting with the greenery, and the skyline giving the image a sense of place. My eye followed the bright flowers from the left and then the line to lead to the skyline; nicely seen. To my eye, the upper part of the image looks a bit distorted (bowed out), either from the effect of the lens being at a wide angle or a transform adjustment so I might make a lens correction or transform adjustment. |
