Thanks for the comments. As I look at the image I agree with the overprocessed comments. This was from a file I used to print so the print does look better. |

Nice composition, and given a 10 second exposure, you still did not get much movement in the trees, so well done. A minor tweak would be to clone out the closer leaves coming into the upper left of the image. Shutter speed for water is always the artists choice. It does not appear you used a polarizer to take some of the sheen off the water which would have been my personal preference. |

I think Dave Edwards said it well. It is good you composed the shot so no part of the person is intersecting any lines of the sand. I prefer the color version with the amount of saturation you have. A slight tweak would be to adjust the top of the crop. Right now it cuts through right at the top of a dune. I would rather see all of the dune or it cut off a bit more. |

A surreal image. I liked the way you created the light coming from the upper left of the image and exposed the image long enough to get the mountains in the background. Nice composition too. I would have preferred grass instead of a parking lot but it is what it is. My only recommendation is to slightly darken the light from the flash on the parking lot so it would appear that the light on the tree was moonlight and not flash as well. |

Given the circumstances you described, this is an amazing shot. It appears the road acted as a neutral gray to help get your exposure correct. This would not be a memorable shot without the deer crossing sign. Fortunately they could read. I could offer some post processing comments, but nothing you would not do if you chose to process this image. |
