11 Feb 26 Comment I like the symmetry and the geometric patterns the carillon structure makes. For me, the image looks a little rotated to the left (I confirmed that by measuring the top on the monitor screen, however the bottom is dead center). I wonder if that could be changed using the various cropping or transform tools. Good camera and lens choice. Feb 11th
11 Feb 26 Comment I like the composition and the drama in the sky. I think the building would benefit if it was a little brighter. Halos can be hard to deal with. If you back off on the adjustments that caused them, the rest of the image suffers. I tried something the other day that might be applicable here. In photoshop, I selected the subject which hopefully is the building. I then inverted the selection and saved it as a separate layer. I then cloned the sky from just outside the subject onto the halo edge. When I turned the base layer back on, the halos were gone. Feb 11th
11 Feb 26 Comment I like the contrast between the feather and background. For me, its a picture of lines and shapes more than a feather. I think that's a good thing. Good tonality and sharpness. Feb 11th
11 Feb 26 Comment Good work picking an exposure that blurred the moving water while still maintaining some detail. So many places today are not safe to go to, sad. Feb 11th
11 Feb 26 Comment I echo previous comments. One thing I noticed, if you blow up the image you can see the detail in hair and clothing, but you can also see every pore in her skin under her eyes. You might want to consider softening texture on her face. Feb 11th
11 Feb 26 Comment Monochrome was definitely the right choice - it brings out the geometric patterns and detail in the decorations on the wall. Good eye. Feb 11th
11 Feb 26 Reply Thanks Henry. It was a sad time. Feb 10th

17 Feb 26 Reply It was taken in January while on a Muench workshop. Feb 18th
17 Feb 26 Comment I love the contrasting colors and the way the flash isolates the tree frog from the background. A stroke around the edge of the image would help separate it from the black background on my monitor. Feb 11th
17 Feb 26 Comment Great job capturing mitten shadow. The odds of getting it are slim, since it only occurs twice a year, for two days each time, and if the weather is bad there is no shadow. I think the image could use more contrast. Feb 11th
17 Feb 26 Comment Everything is good. I can't think of anything to change. Love the subtle blurred background. Feb 11th
17 Feb 26 Comment Monochrome seems to be the thing this month. Nicely toned, good call on blurring the background. I like the lighting. Feb 11th
17 Feb 26 Comment Nice urban landscape. Diagonal leading line of sea wall and houseboats leads you to the bright building in the background. I wonder what the color version looked like. Feb 11th
