11 Dec 25 Comment Great action shot and excellent composition. Smart to use continuous shooting - fortune favors the prepared. The crispness in the image adds a bit of a gritty feel to the scene, which is appropriate for the subject and monochrome. Dec 14th

11 Dec 25 Comment Interesting graphic patterns. The centered composition works well. The image seems a little flat to me. The contrast between colors is largely lost in the monochrome conversion since they are all similar brightness. If desired, perhaps it can be brought back by selective masking and/or adjustment of the brightness of different colors. I would also consider a small crop from the top.

11 Dec 25 Comment I love the grittiness of the image. The centered outlet feels like eyes staring out at me. Shadow from top right, bottom left into the center is a great leading line. Great use of tonal range, from black to nearly white.

11 Dec 25 Comment Excellent candidate for monochrome conversion. The different colors in the bird all go to white/gray, and the grass is substantially darker - great contrast.

11 Dec 25 Comment Great street photography. I feel cold just looking at it. I looked up the magazine she was selling https://www.asphalt-magazin.de/. We have similar street newspapers in the US, but in my experience, the vendors aren't as well dressed. My only comment would be to try and separate the vendor from the people in the background (other photographers I believe) by using selective blur or brightness.

11 Dec 25 Comment Very tranquil scene, composition has foreground and background interest. Nice job blurring the running water. If the tranquil mood is what you were going for, this does a very good job. Another alternative would be to go for drama, by increasing contrast and using more of the tonal range. Much of the color contrast in the scene, such as the green of the grass vs the gray of the rocks and brown in the mountain is lost in the monochrome because they are all the same brightness. And while the water and sky are different colors, they are both the same shade of gray. I took a shot at some changes, hope you don't mind. Dec 7th

17 Dec 25 Comment Beautiful panorama of one of my favorite spots. I think the contrast and vibrance could be increased a little. I'm not sure what would be gained by ND filter or multiple exposures. The highlights aren't blown out or shadows blocked. It should be possible to increase vibrance and contrast using just this image. Dec 14th

17 Dec 25 Comment I like the range of colors and the drama in the sky. I think the subject wants to be the lower third of the image, weighted to the right, but the moon keeps drawing my attention there. I think it might be better cropped from the top to just eliminate the moon and then maybe a little from the left as Suzanne suggests. Dec 14th

17 Dec 25 Comment Very interesting bird. I like the composition, cropping the bottom and back of the bird out, I'll have to try that next time. The eye staring straight out of the picture at me grabs my attention and keeps it there. Good sharpness and toning, and the blur works well.

17 Dec 25 Comment Very nice. I love the bird's color. What is that hanging down from the end of the tail, is that a leaf (not likely given color match) or a feather? The blurred background works well and the colors complement the bird's feathers. Composition seems a little right heavy to me. I'd consider cropping from the left. Happy Holidays Dec 7th
17 Dec 25 Comment What are the chickens doing? Are they being served by a waiter? Chicken liver crostini's perhaps????? My eye keeps moving between the chickens, the bright branches top right, and the bright lights on the left. The composition seems heavily weighted to the right. I'd consider cropping about a quarter of the way in from the left, and then decreasing brightness of the branches above the Eiffel tower to keep attention on the chickens with the tower in the background. 17 Dec 25 Comment Very interesting image. My first reaction was the tower isn't vertical, but on second viewing I decided I like it. It acts like a leading line from the corner up into the dramatic sky. Curious that the lamp post isn't leaning as well. The image is sharp, excellent conversion to monochrome using the full range of tones (almost, no pure whites, but that is as it should be). Happy Holidays Dec 7th
