I've read all the comments, and I'm having some trouble considering how to incorporate them. I think the background could be improved, but I don't want it to be too plain. I'll let this "cook" for a while and come back to it at a later time. |

I like the colorful birds giving us "the eye". The bright clay (?) the birds are standing on takes attention away from the birds - perhaps decrease its brightness. The shadows on the birds are very "inky" - perhaps bring out some detail in those areas. |

The track provides nice leading lines leading you into the scene. Visual weight seems heavy on the left - perhaps crop from the right to bring it back in balance. |

I like the symmetric composition. I think you could have used a faster shutter speed and a higher iso to freeze the people. Topaz Photo AI does a great job at eliminating noise and sharpening high iso photos. My eye keeps being drawn to the bright area at the top of the picture, especially what looks like a gray sky through a large window. Perhaps decrease brightness at the top to bring more focus to the books and people. |

This works well in monochrome, but as others have noted - bringing out some more detail and contrast in the background would help. If by filters, you mean the old practice of using filters - such as a red filter to darken a blue sky - you can get the same effect in Silver Efex using the Color Filter adjustment and varying Hue and Strength. |

I like the composition. The memorial in front of the cathedral provides depth to the image. Good job getting out before the crowds. |
