The sky and mountains are beautiful. I like the leading lines of the fences taking me into the image. Instead of settling on the mountains, my eye keeps coming back to the dirt path, and especially the paved section at the bottom of the image, because they are so much brighter. I think the image would benefit from cropping the paved section out (and perhaps the first fence post on the right), darkening the path, and brightening the scenery beyond the fence to make them more dominant in the picture. I took a "shot" at it myself - hope you don't mind. |

I keep telling myself that I need to learn to do composites, but can't seem to get to it. Maybe one day. I think you did a great job dealing with the reflections and posing the characters in the window. I agree that Buzz and Woody don't quite look like they belong. I think its because they are sharper than the rest of the image, and their lighting is very flat while the other objects in the window have shadows. |

The eyes make the picture. They are looking directly at me and I can't help but look back. I wonder if you could provide more information on how the model was lit. There aren't any significant shadows on the model, and none on the background. I agree that the enbroidery on the sleeve is distracting - especially since it is cut in half. Welcome to the group. |

I like the colors and the flat lighting - I think it helps create a darker mood that fits the subject. You also positioned the camera well so that the cabinet and its contents are very symmetric. I'm interested in the technical information. I would guess that the lighting was dim - did you need a tripod. |

I agree with the previous comments - I wonder what the image would look like with the right half and top third cropped out. It might make the farmhouse a stronger subject, but still leave enough of the dramatic sky to set the mood, especially if the contrast in the sky was increased. |

It's a beautiful car in a difficult environment. I've taken pictures of classic cars at museums in Bowling Green, Phoenix and Detroit, and even in a setting with fewer distractions than you had to deal with, I could not get a photo I was happy with. There is a member of our local photo club who has a sideline business taking pictures of cars - but he moves them to locations such as the "grassy field" you referenced. |

Thanks for your comments Brian,
The sky's reflection is real - it wasn't added in post. The water was smooth enough to reflect the stars. |
