Thanks for your comments. Larry and Dick, thanks especially for suggesting putting more emphasis on the flowers in the lower right corner. I really like how the small rock surface it is on is lit by the sun ray, and didn't pay enough attention to it before. I've re-edited the image and its attached (also removed flare and cropped a little). I'm trying to remember if I saw this at the time. I think not - I was more focused on catching the sun star as the sun peeked through the clouds for seconds at a time. If I had, and was quick enough, I think I would have included more on the right side of the image. |

In the basic module, I used mostly shadows, but a little bit of black/white levels and highlights. In the HSL module, I decreased blue luminance. I used a local adjustment brush to increase clarity in the magnifying glass. |

I like the composition, with the door centered vertically and horizontally, and the edges of the reflecting pond leading you into the image. Sharpness also looks good to me from foreground to background, helps give a great feeling of depth.
The image appears to have been made mid day in bright sun. Tough conditions. Highlights appear good, but strong shadows are blocked. Is there enough information in the raw file to bring out some detail in the statues and greenery, especially on the left side? |

Great subject and composition. I love how they are isolated from any background clutter. To me, it feels like the midtone exposure is a little high and saturation is a little low. I tried a quick edit in LR, attached. |

Beautiful piece of artwork. You didn't specify lens focal length. I wonder whether coming in close with a 16mm or wider lens would make the artwork more prominent vs the background? |

Striking image. I like how the image in the mirror is sharp, but the "live" person is not - keeps my focus on the mirror. I think the texture on the models skin is a good fit to the high contrast, sharp overall feel of the image. I'd only consider smoothing her skin if she was a friend. Might try cropping from the left, even into the picture frame a bit. |

I like the monochrome, and you've toned it well from white clouds to black shadows without blocking or blowout. Only two things you might consider. There are small bright objects on the portside gunwale that are distracting. Could they be cloned out, or darkened? Also, I think negative space in the top right corner puts the image a little out of balance. Adding a cloud there might help. |

Thanks Joe. A little while after this shot was taken, these guys showed up. They actually got a lot closer to the edge than this, taking selfies, and ruined the shot for everyone who was staying behind the barriers. I saw a lot of this type of behavior during the weekend. Surprised we don't hear more about people falling in. |
