Here is a color shot - I like his face and hand blur, and he clearly has two legs. I wish I had one that looked like this, but also showed the "RESIST" message on his shirt. |

Thanks for the comments. Here is a different interpretation of the image - tighter crop but less "clutter". Also tried to play with lighting so that it was more obvious that he didn't have only one leg. |

Another beautiful image. Great interaction between the woman and girl. Is that a cat and a chicken? Is there a story there?
Only change I would consider is to crop from the left so that the image is symetrical left to right. I agree with comment to decrease brightness of the lock. |

I like the image very much. Good toning and visual balance with the radiator vs. TV and upper wall vs. floor. The only thing I would consider changing is to decrease the sharpness/contrast of the fireplace. I don't think its consistent with the rest of the wall, and it keeps taking my eye away from your wife/tv.
SIDEBAR - Once went to a exhibition at the Tate Modern in London. One of the works on display was a Kodak Carousel projector on a stand, projecting an image of a light switch on the wall at exactly the spot where you would expect to find a light switch. ?????? |

I love the photo, subject and composition. Perhaps decrease luminosity on green/yellow a little to darken background on the bottom half.
What a bummer on loss of your equipment. Its something I'm always concerned about - especially when traveling. Any advice/lessons learned would be appreciated. |

Good job with an interesting subject in difficult lighting. Perhaps crop a bit from the left, to my eye visual weight is a bit out of balance. Great job on the revision. |

Good composition. I think Joe's tweaks are helpful. I wonder how it would have looked with a shallower depth of field.
SIDEBAR - Leonardo DaVinci's Horse. DaVinci was comissioned to create a statue of a horse, bigger than any in the world. He didn't finish it, but 500 years later the reins were picked up (pun intended) and two horses were cast based on Leonardo's design. One is in Milan - and the other is in ....(wait for it) ...GRAND RAPIDS! At the Meijer Gardens and Sculpture Park. |
