Not sure if it's my monitor or not, the image appear a bit dark. The highlight (even if it's overexposed) in the original is fabulous IMO. It has batter impact that way. I know a quite famous landscape photographer who often intentionally leave overexposed highlight spot in many of his work, which gave nice impact overall. I can see the same impact with the original.
My suggestion for the B&W is to leave the right side of the water have more highlight, which can help separate other part of the water/mountain. Just a thought. |

A beautiful lady and portrait. The color version appear a softer and warmer feeling, where the B&W shows a beautiful tone of her skin. I like both version in different way. I do noticed that in the B&W you emphasized a lot in her eyes, which seems a bit harsh. Personally I like somewhere between the original and the B&W version (for the eyes). |

Nice portrait of capturing his emotion. I second on emphasizing his face/eyes area by brighten it, and tune down some surrounding bright area to get better focus on the face and expression. |

I like how you process this, great range of tone. There is nothing wrong to photograph, or interpenetrate other's art. Just like taking photo with a build, which is other's design, right? :-) The composition and closeness of the post- processing has a nice impact, making me thinking what might be in the artist's head, what he/she was trying to express. |
