For some reason, when I view this image in a different computer, it has pretty nasty shadow at the front & left. Hum, interesting... Thanks for all your feedback, as usual. |

Nice image of the mountain and the waterfall. Great composition. I agree on the left side of the tree to frame it, but I would crop it a little bit so it doesn't get too distracted.
There seems a little yellow cast to the entire image, here is my attempt:
* very little straightening
* remove yellow cast using white balance
* crop a little on the left
* adjust tone curve very slightly

Looks like I'm late to the party this round. Welcome David. I agree with other's input, and like your modified version better. However, in the modified version, I would darken a bit at the beach, and the brightest spot on that rock. They become over powering the light house. |

Very sharp and beautiful night photo. I think the over powering yellow reflection could use some tune down. I tune down the yellow, add some tone curve adjustment.
In addition, while I was doing the editing, I clicked on a B&W button, this image also works great in B&W, very beautiful actually. |

What a shot, breath taking view you got there. About the tree on the left, I wouldn't crop the image because I like the mountain there, but maybe clone it out because it's a bit distracted to me. I think you can try to bring out more rich lighting in the sky, I can see it's hidden. |

I also feel the building leaning forward. I love how these buildings have different color and styles and blended in. Maybe bring up some more shadow in the builds to make them more the eye catching subject.
Attached a modified version:
* changed perspective
* brighten shadow of the building
* bring down some blue in the sky (the blue was clipping in the histogram before)
* bring up very little vibrance (wasn't much changes after the shadow brighten which has already bring the richness of the building)
* sharpen a little using high pass |

Nice capture of the history here. I like the detail of the building and the cloud. If you didn't, I would suggest to use the LR's dehaze (or something similar in other software) to reduce foggy-like effect in the image. It can also help bring up some richness and clarity to the image. It would be nicer to have a wider lens to be able to capture the tip of the church. I would crop out the street light on the left of the image. |

LuAnn, I forgot to answer your question about filter, no I didn't use any filter. I was walking to my club meeting, passed this room, found it was filled with people and the girl and two other people interests me. I had no chance adjust anything when I spotted they were laughing. If you noticed, my ISO was very very high. I wish I could have it down a bit. |

It seems your editing helped with the overexposed on the face. I definitely need to redo this image. I've also learned a few more editing skills from my last editing to now. I'll give a try. |

Thanks LuAnn for your suggestion! It's interesting to know how others thinking about the reflection. During the editing, I was able to reduce the reflection but I dialed it back to keep more because I like it (for more street photography). It does seems that the reflection might have causing more overexposed on the face. |

You are right, the crop does loss the sense of the large darkened room. I think I'm taking back of my cropping, I like the big empty room feeling. |

Great suggestions. I'm so drawn to the girl's face and actually never noticed the extra guy in the photo until I see all your comments. I am not very good at post processing when I previously processing this image, but I would love to try redo this image again. |

Welcome to the group David.
What a transformation from the color to the B/W. It enhance the texture, shadow, and the subject in a great deal. Excellent composition as well. Definitely a story telling image. The only thing I would suggest it the left very black slope. Maybe try to bring up a little bit shadow in that area, showing darker gray instead of some part of complete black. |

Very nice conversion, the color won't have the same effect. The B/W brought out great texture of the wall. The contrast of dark walls and the lighting works great. Both window and the lights draw my eyes to the couple. Very nice composition. Personally, I prefer tighter crop, but it's just how I like it. Nothing wrong with yours. |

It is a great captured moment. I like how the pillar and the chairs frame the photo. The stand & the wire at the left (center) of the photo might be better removed which is adding some distraction. In your post processing, did you try to add some dehazing? If not, I'll say move the dehaze adjustment (in LR, if you have) to remove a little foggy looking in the image. The dehaze can also add some richness & contrast to begin with. |

Very well done. The photo does work both B/W and color but I like the B/W better because it takes away bright color flag & clothes. Whatever step took you to process to get the final result paid off, which results nice range of grey tone. |
