Hi Wes, welcome to our fabulous group!
Your sky replacement was a great choice it adds a very visual dramatic interest.
I thought that there was just too much going on in your image so I cropped it so that my eyes were not darting all over the place. The road going over the bridge to me, is also a very busy path that leads to a dramatic skyline.Could you replace the road with another surface that was simple with maybe just one leading line or retake the image at a different time of the day so the shadows are not so pronounced?
Very nicely composed and seen. |

The first thing that I saw was the little fly/critter on the top petal. To celebrate the great clarity of the bug I wanted to highlight his appearance. It wasn't until I opened your file that I saw the amazing detail in your image. Congratulations it really is an outstanding image. Sorry that I chopped half of it off ;) |

Thanks Allen, I agree that monochrome is the preferred edit. Thank you again for tolerating my tardiness :) |

Hi Jim, Looks like more contrast is the overwhelming improvement suggested. I am trying to get used to a 13" screen downgrade from my 2 x 26" screens as I am travelling in the outback of Australia at the moment. Thank you for your help :) |

Hi Henry, you are 100% correct with your edit! I am travelling for a year or so and am editing on my MBPro instead of my iMac. I sent this image to a good friend after I submitted it to this group to ask about my editing as I was concerned that I did not have my screen brightness correct and he said exactly the same thing as you. So when I submit it for our next club comp I will apply your edit. Thank you :) |
